Nothing is giving away a free phone, but there’s a catch

London-based Nothing has announced a giveaway campaign on X (formerly Twitter), offering users the chance to win a free Nothing product. In a tweet shared on Saturday, Nothing revealed it had been receiving a flood of DMs asking for free phones, and hence, the brand decided to roll with it. “Hey @grok, pick a winner out of every 10,000th comment, and they get the Nothing product they mention,” the tweet reads. To participate in the giveaway, users simply need to follow @nothing on X and comment the name of the Nothing phone they want.
SurveyThe giveaway is applicable for 48 hours, after which X’s AI assistant, Grok, will randomly pick winners from the comments. Interestingly, the comment section is flooded with requests for the newly launched Nothing Phone (3), which debuted earlier this month with a base price of Rs 79,999.

Nothing Phone 3 specifications
In terms of specifications, Nothing Phone 3 packs a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The device also comes with a 4,500 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the device is backed by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
As for cameras, the handset ships with a triple rear camera comprising a 50MP primary camera sensor along with a 50MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. On the front, the device houses a 50MP front camera with EIS. The phone packs a 5,500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, 7.5W reverse wired charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
The Nothing Phone 3 runs on Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.5, and it promises 5 years of OS and 7 years of security patches. It also features IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
Additionally, the device has 489 individually addressable micro LEDs, Essential Notifications, a Volume Indicator, a flip-to-Glyph feature, a Bedtime schedule, a Camera Countdown, a Glyph Torch, Glyph Toys, and more.
