HIGHLIGHTS

A report suggests pre-orders will start exactly after two weeks of Google's event on September 29 in San Francisco.

The LG and Huawei-made Nexus smartphones will reportedly be available for pre-orders from October 13. While shipping date and pricing details about the devices aren't available yet, one can expect it to be within few weeks after the start of pre-orders. The rumored date is exactly 2 weeks after the expected launch date for the devices, which is on September 29, at an event in San Francisco.

As per earlier leaks, LG is rumored to be making a smaller version of the Nexus this year, while Huawei is working on a larger phablet variant. The LG variant is expected to come with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and will reportedly be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with 3GB of RAM. It will have a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with a 2700mAh battery. The device is also expected to come with a fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port. The dimensions are expected to be 146.9 x 72.9 x 89.8mm. Recent rumors also suggest that the name of the device will be LG Nexus 5x.

On the other hand, there have been a lot of rumors about the Huawei-made Nexus as well, including a leaked bootloader image. It will have a larger display as compared to LG device, tipped to be 5.7-inch. Under the hood, it is expected to come with octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. The device will have 21MP rear camera but no information about the front camera is available. It is expected to have 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6/8.5mm dimensions. Like the LG Nexus, it will also have a fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port.

There is no information about the pricing of the Huawei-made Nexus, but there are some rumors related to the LG’s Nexus. It is tipped to be priced $399 (approx. Rs. 26,577) and $449 (Rs. 29,907) for 16GB and 32GB model respectively. This will be LG’s third Nexus device after making Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, while its Huawei’s first shot at making a Nexus smartphone.
