Given this level of display performance at a modest price tag of Rs 29,999, the Moto Edge 40 emerges as the clear winner of this year’s Digit Best Buy Award for the Best Display Smartphone category. It may not have the same level of novelty as compared to its competitors for this award, but the Moto Edge 40 holds its own, offering a great display without stretching the budget.

Runner-Up: OnePlus Open (Buy now)

The OnePlus Open can be considered the most important foldable smartphone of this year. The device not only gave us one of the most complete foldable experiences, it also amped up the competition for the only significant player in the market, Samsung. Given OnePlus’ focus towards performance and offering a smooth experience, there is no doubt about the Open’s performance.

However, where the OnePlus Open surprised us the most is the smartphone’s display performance. Apart from the fact that we get two top-notch displays with the OnePlus Open, there is more to the smartphone’s impressive visual experience. The main foldable display is extremely accurate, super bright and very bright. The colour accuracy is as good as this year’s Best Buy winner, along with peak luminance that also crosses the 2000 nits mark in bright sunlight.

Pair all of that with features like Dolby Vision HDR and 120Hz refresh rate, and there is no doubt about why the OnePlus Open finishes second in the race for the Best Display Smartphone in this year’s Digit Zero1 Awards.
