Apple iPhone 20 may get quad-curved Liquid Glass display: What leaks reveal

Apple is said to change the way how the iPhones actually look anytime soon. Previously, many reports suggested that Apple would move forward with a curved display with the upcoming iPhones. While the company is expected to launch the iPhone 18 series in 2026, leaks indicate that the iPhone 20, which will be released in 2027, may be the first to receive it.

According to the tipster Ice Universe, Apple’s anniversary model may bring a completely new display approach. The device is said to feature a quad-curved screen that bends subtly along all four edges, creating a nearly borderless display. The tipster suggests that unlike the aggressively curved displays seen on some Android devices, this panel is expected to use a more uniform, equal depth curvature for a cleaner and less distorted look.

It may be marketed as a Liquid Glass panel. The reports also suggest that the company could rely on advanced optical techniques, including light refraction and engineered visual effects to minimise the appearance of bezels without compromising clarity.

The panel may be supplied by Samsung and may use COE (Colour Filter on Encapsulation) technology. This approach may replace traditional layers with a thinner colour filter, potentially improving brightness and reducing power consumption while keeping a slim form factor.

Apple is also believed to be working toward a fully uninterrupted display, though integrating components like Face ID and the front camera beneath the screen remains a technical hurdle. As a result, the company may continue using its Dynamic Island design in the interim.

Apple iPhone 20 specs

As per the early leaks, the device may feature a 2nm or even a 1.4nm fabricated A21 Bionic chip. It may support 5G modem andWi-Fi 7. It may feature a 12GB RAM and variants may start with 256GB. It may also offer a 3,892 mAh battery. In terms of camera, the device may get a LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) sensor for cinema-grade dynamic range. Do note that these are based on early leaks and can differ when launched.
