And, if rumours and leaks are to be believed, this year’s Apple iPhone 17 series lineup may be different, with a new ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air replacing the iPhone 17 Plus, as well as the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, all of which will undergo significant changes. While fans will welcome these improvements, analysts predict that Apple’s iPhone 17 series will see a price increase.

Apple iPhone 17 series price hike

Apple could raise the price of its upcoming iPhone 17 series for the first time since 2017, according to analysts at Morgan Stanley. The new lineup is expected to debut with a thinner iPhone 17 Air featuring a C1 modem and a $100 premium over the iPhone 16 Plus. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro will reportedly start at $1,099 for the 256GB variant as Apple phases out lower-storage options. A new 1TB iPhone 17 Air is also tipped to launch at $1,399.

According to Morgan Stanley, these changes may result in a 5 percent increase in Apple’s average selling price in FY26. The report also predicted that demand is unlikely to increase significantly.

Apple Awe Dropping event: What to expect

Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 17 series, AirPods Pro 3, Watch 11 series, and the next-gen flagship Watch 3 Ultra. All these devices are claimed to get big upgrades in terms of features, specifications, and design. For instance, the smartwatches are said to get satellite connectivity, big display, and 5G along with features like BP monitoring and sleep apnea detection. The reports also said to introduce the AirTag 2 during the event.
