At the Times Now Summit 2025, Microsoft founder and former CEO Bill Gates praised India’s rapid progress in digital and AI infrastructure. During his speech, Gates highlighted how India’s digital platforms, including UPI, have set global standards for digital public infrastructure. He highlighted that these technologies serve as an inspiration to other countries, demonstrating how digital innovation can improve public services.

Gates also pointed out India’s status as a technological powerhouse, naming it the world’s largest startup hub and a key player in the global AI ecosystem. He praised the country’s ability to develop blueprints for innovation, ambition, and local leadership, which have improved millions of people’s lives while driving economic growth.

“India offers an inspiring blueprint—one that shows how innovation, ambition, and local leadership can transform millions of lives for the better while driving economic growth. In the coming years, this leadership and innovation will be instrumental in helping solve the world’s most pressing challenges,” said Bill Gates.

He also stated his foundation’s two-decade partnership with India, stating that the collaboration will continue to grow in the future.

Gates also praised India’s AI-powered, climate-smart agricultural solutions, which give millions of farmers real-time data to boost productivity and sustainability. During his speech, he also mentioned that India has played a pivotal role in the medical line. He stated that over 60 percent of the vaccines come from India, including the vaccines for Corona Virus and other diseases.

He recognised India’s global impact, saying, “India has driven progress not just for Indians, but for the entire world.”
