Microsoft Azure down: Teams, Outlook, Store, Xbox, Microsoft 365 and all other services that are affected globally

Thousands of Microsoft users around the world faced major disruptions late on October 29 as several key services, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, Azure, and the Microsoft Store, went down. Both businesses and individual users were unable to log in, send emails, or access files.

According to real-time tracker DownDetector, reports of issues started late Tuesday night, with more than 1,800 complaints coming in from users across the US, Europe, and Asia. The problem also affected tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot, causing major slowdowns for those relying on Microsoft apps for work or study.

Microsoft’s Azure Support team confirmed the issue on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “We’re investigating an issue impacting Azure Front Door services. Customers may experience intermittent request failures or latency. Updates will be provided shortly.” This points to a possible problem with Microsoft’s cloud network, especially in the East US region. The issue might be limited to certain areas and not a global failure. Still, users around the world reported login errors and slow performance.

As of now, Microsoft hasn’t shared the cause of the outage or when services will be fully restored. The company’s engineers are working to bring everything back online as quickly as possible.

Microsoft has advised users to follow updates on the Azure Status Page and @AzureSupport for the latest information as systems are gradually restored.
