Apple WWDC 2026: What to expect
Apple is expected to place a major focus on AI at WWDC 2026, with the long-awaited Siri AI revamp likely to take centre stage. As per reports, the company could announce a more advanced Siri that may function more like a modern AI assistant. This upgraded version is expected to help users handle everyday tasks more efficiently and respond in a more natural, conversational way. The new Siri is also said to better understand what is happening on a user’s screen. Apple may also change how Siri looks on iPhones. Instead of the current glowing animation, Siri could appear within the Dynamic Island.
Beyond Siri, Apple’s Visual Intelligence could get new abilities, such as identifying nutritional details or contact information from images. The Photos app may also get AI-powered features, including the ability to extend backgrounds, improve image quality and more.

Safari is expected to become more organised with a new feature that can automatically group open tabs into categories. Meanwhile, Genmoji could get more personalised suggestions.
The Shortcuts app may also become easier to use with AI integration. Instead of manually setting up automations, users could simply describe what they want, and the system would create the shortcut for them.
Apple is also likely to announce new versions of its operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27.
