Apple October event 2026: What to expect

HomeView: According to Gurman, the centre of attention is expected to be the smart home hub with a display: HomeView. It could ship with an A18 chipset to support Siri AI-based voice commands and will likely support touch inputs. Plus, the device may arrive in two configurations: Table-top and wall-mountable. The countertop trim (which could look similar to the iMac G4 2002) is expected to debut in silver, space grey, pink and starlight, while the wall-mountable may be limited to the first two colours. The models are said to be available from mid-November.

Apple TV 4K: The rumoured set-top box is expected to boast an A19 chip. Plus, users may be able to give commands to Siri directly via its built-in mics without re-routing them via the remote or a HomePod. Moreover, the remote may get a speaker to locate it when it is out of sight.
