Earlier this month, Rockstar Games, the studio behind the iconic gaming franchise, officially announced that the release of GTA 6 has been postponed once again. Players who were looking forward to the May 2026 launch will now have to hold on for a few extra months. Rockstar says the delay is necessary to give the team more time to polish the game and make sure it lives up to the very high expectations. Despite the setback, the buzz around GTA 6 remains sky-high, with every update, rumour and leak drawing massive attention online.

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will now launch on 19 November 2026, instead of the earlier planned date of 26 May 2026. The game will first arrive on consoles, while the PC version is expected to follow later, though an exact PC release date has not yet been announced.

So far, two official trailers for GTA 6 have been released. Both have grabbed huge attention for their stunning visuals, detailed world and fast-paced action. There are rumours that a third trailer might be released next month.

GTA 6 story and gameplay
GTA 6 will focus on two main characters, Jason and Lucia. According to Rockstar, “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
GTA 6 characters, map and setting
Along with Jason and Lucia, the game will feature new characters such as Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista and Real Dimez. The action returns to Vice City, one of the most loved locations in the franchise, now expanded and rebuilt with modern graphics, new districts and a more lively, realistic city. Rockstar describes GTA 6 as “the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
GTA 6 India pricing and PC requirements
In India, the standard edition of GTA 6 is expected to be priced at around Rs 5,999, while special editions could cost Rs 7,299 or more. Speaking of PC requirements, leaked details suggest that players may need at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor, a GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card, 8GB of RAM and about 150GB of free storage space.
