The TV show Game of Thrones might have come to an end but that doesn’t mean that the franchise is done and over with. The mobile game developer Behaviour Interactive has opened up pre-registrations for its upcoming strategy role-playing mobile game called Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall, which is an official licenced product with an original Game of Thrones story. One can pre-register for the mobile game on Android (here) but there’s no word on when the game would be officially released. The title’s narrative is set 48 years before the events of the Game of Thrones TV show and one will play as the commander of the Night’s Watch.

While the story of the upcoming game has not been revealed, one of the major features of the game is collecting GoT characters. Players will get to recruit for the Watch to build their roster with characters like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre, Tormund Giantsbane and others. Every collected character will feature unique abilities in tactical PvP combat. While the game’s trailer doesn’t reveal any gameplay, a screenshot of the title on the Play Store reveals how the gameplay could be like. There will be in-app purchases, which seem to be the developer’s way to monetise the game.

The characters collected by players will be used for battle in a classic grid combat system, which is said to be optimised for playing on mobile. Crossbowmen from The Westerlands, Spearmen from Dorne, Scoundrels from King’s Landing and exotic fighters from The Free Cities will also be available for recruitment while playing the game.

Speaking of Game of Thrones, the prequel of the TV show has reportedly gone into production. It could be called Bloodmoon and it might be released by the end of 2020 or early 2021. You can read more about it here
