Twitter tries to take on YouTube with its 60-minute video feature: How it works
HIGHLIGHTS

Twitter will now let users upload a 60-minute video on the platform, as long as they are Twitter Blue subscribers.

The size limit for these videos is 2GB, while the resolution limit is 1080p.

Twitter also rolled out a view count feature recently.

Twitter has announced that it will roll out a new feature that lets users upload up to 60-minute videos on the platform. This feature will be available to Twitter Blue subscribers. At this point, the feature will be available on the platform's desktop version, not the Android and iOS apps. Twitter also recently rolled out a new feature that lets you see the view count for tweets.

Twitter will let you upload long videos now

Twitter explained on its community page that subscribers can now share a 60-minute video at HD resolution. However, the video needs to be under 2GB in size, otherwise, the platform won’t be able to upload it. This functionality will probably improve over time as most creators prefer high-quality video uploads (which are generally around or more than 2GB).

Prior to this, Twitter Blue subscribers could upload 10-minute videos at 1080p as long as the videos were under 512MB.

Twitter View Count

Twitter recently rolled out a View Count feature that lets you see how many times the tweet has been viewed. This feature works on the desktop version, as well as the Android and iOS apps.
