How we test, and why it matters
We do not rely on first impressions or marketing claims. Every shortlisted product is put through a structured test plan that focuses on measurable, repeatable outcomes. For Zero1 judging, we strip out price, design flourishes, and extra features, and concentrate on whether the core job is done to an industry-leading standard. That is what keeps Zero1 a clean measure of performance.
This clarity is why the awards matter. If you are hunting the outright fastest gaming laptop in India, or the most capable camera phone without a budget cap, the Zero1 winner is your reference. By identifying category leaders, the awards nudge the industry to raise the bar again the following year.
Eligibility and how to participate
Brands are invited to submit entries for the Digit Zero1 Awards 2025 and the Best Buy Awards 2025. To ensure fairness and complete evaluation, eligible products must be launched and available in the Indian market between 15 November 2024 and 31 October 2025. Early submissions are encouraged so that each product receives the depth of testing it merits.
Best Buy Awards 2025
Alongside the Zero1 titles, we will name a Best Buy winner in each of the 40 categories. Zero1 is price agnostic, Best Buy is not. Winners here are determined by our value-for-money scoring within category comparison sheets, balancing solid performance with sensible pricing.

We also invite the Digit community to have its say. Popular Choice lets readers and viewers vote for their favourite gadgets of the year across a curated shortlist.
