Let us take a look at the top 5 trailers that stole the show at Gamescom 2025.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

One of the most popular FPS franchises, Call of Duty, is getting a new game. Activision showcased a brand new trailer of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 during the Gamescom Opening Night and it mixes gritty espionage with high-octane action.

The trailer also teased a brand-new co-op mode called Endgame. To spin up the hype further, actors Milo Ventimiglia and Kiernan Shipka were revealed in character roles.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui

After the success of Black Myth: Wu Kong, Game Science is preparing for its sequel. Titled Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the game centres on the legendary demon hunter of Chinese folklore.

The trailer has a dash of horror, adventure, mystery and a tone deeply rooted in cultural mythology.

It is important to note that the trailer doesn’t contain any in-game footage since the game is in its early stage. The whole trailer is a CG teaser.

Silent Hill F

Silent Hill has been a popular choice for horror game enthusiasts and its previous instalments have given most of us many sleepless nights. The most-recent title, Silent Hill 2 remake, got immensely positive reviews. And now, the world is waiting for Silent Hill F.

The game is set to launch on September 25 and its official first trailer unveiled in March this year. During the Gamescom Opening Night Live, a new story trailer of the game was revealed that will leave you even more excited. If you are a horror fan, this trailer is simply unmissable.

Resident Evil: Requiem

If you love playing horror survival games, chances are that you are familiar with the epic Resident Evil franchise. Resident Evil has been around for decades and Capcom keeps on adding more titles to its ever-expanding universe. The next title, Resident Evil: Requiem, will be out in 2026 and was announced during the Summer Games Fest in June this year.

Last night, a new gameplay trailer was unveiled which focuses on the protagonist Grace Ashcroft and her mother, Alyssa.

Ghost of Yōtei

Ghost of Tsushima is getting a sequel soon and with the release date approaching fast, the hype is palpable. A new gameplay trailer for the samurai epic was shown during Gamescom Opening Night.

Sucker Punch also confirmed that the game will also include its own take on the much-loved Legends multiplayer mode from its predecessor. Fans of Ghost of Tsushima will remember the surprise drop of Legends back in 2020, which turned out to be one of the game’s biggest highlights. Now, Ghost of Yotei Legends is also on the way as free post-launch content in 2026. In a PlayStation Blog update, Sucker Punch’s Andrew Goldfarb teased that the new co-op mode will carry forward the same spirit while adding fresh ideas suited to Yotei’s world.

As for the trailer, it showcased sweeping landscapes inspired by Hokkaido, intense swordplay, and cinematic duels under moonlit skies. It  gave just enough glimpses of the narrative to suggest a tale of honour, betrayal, and revenge.

Ghost of Yōtei is set to launch on October 2, 2025.
