Alienware 16 Aurora launches in India starting at INR 1,29,990
Dell Technologies and Alienware have officially launched the Alienware 16 Aurora laptop in India, aiming squarely at gamers who want desktop-class power in a travel-ready chassis. Debuting exclusively during Amazon Prime Day from July 12 to 14, the new Aurora represents a significant evolution in Alienware’s gaming portfolio. It’s the first portable form factor to carry the “Aurora” name, which until now had been reserved for Alienware’s high-end desktops.
SurveyThe new laptop features Intel’s latest Core Series 2 processors paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs powered by the Blackwell architecture, offering a high-performance gaming experience without the bulk. The system also introduces a streamlined, minimal design language that leans into comfort, portability, and thermal efficiency.

Commenting on the launch, Raj Kumar Rishi, Vice President and Managing Director, Consumer & Small Business, Dell Technologies, India, said, “Inspired by the iconic Alienware Area-51 and Aurora desktops, the Alienware 16 Aurora reimagines their legendary power in a sleek, portable design with fluid contours that enhance comfort and mobility. Launching during Prime Day, this new device represents a bold statement of ambition and confidence in our innovation. It’s a testament to Alienware’s unwavering dedication to delivering best-in-class gaming experiences. Designed for gamers who demand uncompromising performance, deep customization, and exceptional craftsmanship, the Alienware 16 Aurora brings cutting-edge gaming right to your fingertips.”
Atul Mehta, Senior Director and General Manager, India Consumer Channel, Dell Technologies, stated, “By fusing Alienware’s iconic design DNA with a sophisticated yet minimalist aesthetic, the Alienware 16 Aurora carves out a distinctive paradigm within our gaming arsenal. Launching on Amazon Prime Day, delivers on Dell’s commitment of an omnichannel approach as we continue fostering deeper connection with our audience. With Alienware, now more sleek and AI-enabled, the Aurora laptops are designed to make browsing, traveling and daily tasks effortless and enjoyable.”
Powered by RTX 50 Series GPU and Intel Series 2 CPU
Beneath its aluminium lid and magnesium alloy chassis, the Alienware 16 Aurora is powered by up to an Intel Core 7 (Series 2) processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPU. You can get the 16 Aurora with an Intel Core 5 210H or Core 7 240H or Core 9 270H. And for the GPUs, you can get one of the following options RTX 3050, 4050, 5050, 5060 or 5070. If you’re opting for the SKU with the RTX 5070 then you’ll get 145 Watts total performance power comprising 45 Watts for the CPU and 85 Watts for the GPU (plus an additional 15 Watts for Dynamic Boost). This is supported by Alienware Cryo-tech cooling, which includes a new Cryo-Chamber design, dual fans with ultra-thin blades, and three copper heat pipes for efficient airflow.

The thermal shelf, which used to sit at the rear, common in older Alienware models has been removed making it look like any other laptop. An angled front edge and pillowed palm rest further improve ergonomics, making it suitable not just for hardcore gaming but also for extended daily use. The only thing indicating that this is an Alienware laptop is the iconic logo, eveything else seems to have been taken out to bring this in the same league as your average gaming laptop.
Immersive experience on the go
The 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) display offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits brightness, and full sRGB coverage, striking a balance between clarity, speed, and colour accuracy. ComfortView Plus reduces blue light emissions, which should help during longer gaming or creative sessions.
The audio system includes dual 2 Watt speakers enhanced with Dolby Audio, offering a fuller soundstage that pairs nicely with the visual fidelity. With Wi-Fi 7 and a Gigabit Ethernet port, the system is equipped for high-speed, low-latency connectivity whether at home or on the move.
For gamers who need some quiet during daily tasks, the built-in Stealth Mode transforms the device into a low-noise, low-power state, ideal for work or travel.
Pricing and availability
The Alienware 16 Aurora will be available in India on Amazon.in during Prime Day (July 12–14, 2025) at a starting price of ₹1,29,990. From July 17 onwards, it will be available on Dell.com, Dell Exclusive Stores, and at large-format retail outlets like Croma, Reliance Retail, and Vijay Sales, along with select multi-brand stores.
