Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently announced its 5G broadband services in India, the Quantum-5G FWA (fixed wireless access). The newly launched wireless 5G services are currently available to select cities including Hyderabad. The telco is offering two plans priced at Rs 999 per month and Rs 1,499 per month. BSNL could introduce more tariffs at a later stage.

BSNL Q-5G FWA plans price
BSNL’s Q-5G FWA plans in India start at Rs 999 per month, offering 100 Mbps speed. Those seeking higher internet speed can opt for the Rs 1499 plan, which offers up to 300 Mbps speed to the users. Both plans will likely have a commercial FUP (fair usage policy) limit for data consumption. However, it has not been mentioned in the press release. Do note that BSNL’s Q-5G FWA does not support voice calls.

The BSNL Q-5G FWA plans are introduced for businesses and enterprises. The services are currently available in Hyderabad and are said to start rolling out in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gwalior, Pondicherry, Pune, and Visakhapatnam by September 2025.

BSNL’s Q-5G FWA service: How will it work
BSNL’s new Q-5G FWA service is said to aim at tier-2 and tier-3 cities where optical fibre cables are not accessible. The wireless service will likely be similar to Airtel Xstream Fiber and Jio AirFiber, offering fast internet connectivity through a router.
