Amazon launches Fire TV Stick 4K Select with Vega OS in India: Price, features and availability
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select has launched in India as the latest entrant in the company’s Fire TV lineup.The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is its most affordable streaming device yet and supports 4K Ultra HD streaming with HDR10+ and the new Vega OS.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is the company’s first device in India to run on Amazon’s new Vega Operating System (OS), designed to improve performance and responsiveness. It is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, which Amazon says is the fastest among all Fire TV Sticks available in India.
SurveyThe Fire TV Stick 4K Select includes Alexa voice control, offering access to lakhs of movies and TV episodes from major streaming platforms.With this launch, Amazon’s 4K portfolio in India now includes three models: the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (previously known as Fire TV Stick 4K), and the Fire TV Cube.

“This expansion of our 4K lineup reinforces our commitment to ensure every Indian household can access Fire TV products tailored to their streaming needs across various price points,” said Dilip R.S., Director and Country Manager, Amazon Devices India.
The new streaming stick supports 4K Ultra HD and HDR10+, allowing users to upgrade to higher-quality viewing without replacing their existing TVs, provided the TV includes at least one HDMI input supporting HDCP 2.2.It is also the first Fire TV Stick in India to offer the Fire TV Ambient Experience, which allows users to transform their TVs into digital art displays. The feature provides access to more than 2,000 pieces of museum-quality art and photography, activated through the Alexa button or voice commands such as “Alexa, launch Ambient Experience.”
The bundled Alexa Voice Remote can control TV power, volume, and playback, while also enabling voice commands for managing smart home devices such as air conditioners, lights, and fans.In addition to Prime Video, users can access content from other major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, YouTube, and Zee5, among others. It also offers ad-supported and live content, including sports and news.
Pricing and availability
The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is priced at Rs 5,499 and will be available across multiple platforms, including Amazon.in, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and offline retailers like Croma, Vijay Sales, and Reliance Retail.
