Synology capped its Solution Day 2025 in Mumbai on 22 September with a near-full house of almost 500 IT professionals. Marking the company’s 25th anniversary, Synology outlined a broader push in enterprise storage, protection, surveillance, and productivity, positioning India as a key growth market.
SurveyAntoine Yang, Synology’s Regional Sales Head, said, “Synology solutions enable secure and scalable data management in over 100 countries worldwide, helping organizations reduce total cost of ownership and improve operational efficiency.” He added, “With global demand for more sophisticated enterprise data management solutions continuing to rise, Synology is experiencing strong growth across the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the Indian market.”
The headline announcement was the PAS7700, an NVMe SSD, active-active dual-controller system aimed at high performance and high availability. The company framed the launch against rising investment in AI and automation, with data protection and recovery still top priorities for Indian enterprises. Synology has strengthened its data protection stack to help counter cyber threats and data breaches, enabling innovation without compromising security.
Synology also previewed DSM 7.3 with storage efficiency and security updates, including native tiering that keeps frequently accessed data on faster media while moving colder datasets to lower-cost tiers. On the protection side, new ActiveProtect updates, including DP7200 and APM 1.1, add WORM to prevent illegal deletion and network isolation for secure access, supporting a 3-2-1-1-0 strategy with immutable, offsite copies.
Rounding out the portfolio, Synology highlighted AI-assisted video analytics for people, vehicle, and intrusion detection, plus broader camera compatibility across its ecosystem. For productivity, the company teased a new integrated communication platform, AI-driven document tools, and centralised orchestration via Synology AI Console, aimed at on-premises AI servers and custom agents.
