If you’re planning to buy a new phone, it might be wise to hold off a little longer. Here’s a look at some of the most anticipated smartphone launches in August 2025.

Google Pixel 10 Series

One of the biggest highlights of the August launches is the Google Pixel 10 lineup, set to be unveiled at the annual Made by Google event. Following the 2024 formula, Google is expected to launch four models – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The handsets are expected to ship with the most significant change this year, with Google reportedly switching from Samsung Foundry to TSMC for fabricating its new Tensor G5 chipset. This shift could bring notable improvements in the performance of the phones.

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are rumoured to feature 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch displays, respectively, and could come equipped with 16GB of RAM. They are tipped to have battery capacities of 4,870mAh and 5,200mAh, respectively. Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 10 is expected to offer a triple camera setup including a 48MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera. It is also said to pack a larger battery than its predecessor.

Oppo K13 Turbo Series 5G

Oppo is also expected to launch the K13 Turbo Series 5G, featuring two models- K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro. Both devices are anticipated to come with 6.80-inch 1.5K flexible AMOLED displays offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness.

The standard K13 Turbo could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450, while the Pro version may run on Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Key features include dual 50MP rear cameras, 16MP front cameras, 7,000mAh batteries, and 80W fast charging. The phones are likely to ship with Android 15-based ColorOS 15.

Vivo Y400 5G

Next up is the Vivo Y400 5G, which will join the Y400 Pro in India. It will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and come in Glam White and Olive Green. The phone will carry an IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Y400 5G will sport a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary rear sensor and come packed with AI-powered features, including Circle to Search, AI Transcript Assist, and AI Notes Summary. Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery, likely to support 90W fast charging.
