Google Pixel 10 Pro design goes official ahead of launch: What to expect

Google is currently gearing up to host its next Made by Google event, which is scheduled for next month. At the event, the tech giant will unveil its next-generation Pixel devices, including the highly anticipated Pixel 10 series. Although the event is still a month away, Google has already given us an early glimpse of the Pixel 10 Pro.

A short teaser video shared on Google’s website shows the Pixel 10 Pro in a classy grey-blue colour. At first glance, it looks a lot like last year’s Pixel 9. There is a pill-shaped camera module which houses three camera sensors, along with a flash and a temperature sensor.

Google has also announced an exclusive offer for the Pixel 10 series. According to the Google Store, users need to sign up on the page before August 19, 12:30 PM IST to be eligible. Once pre-orders open, the offer will be shared with those who registered. While details are yet to be confirmed, the offer is likely to include pre-order perks such as discounts or free accessories with the purchase of Pixel 10 series devices.

Although Google only gave us a short glimpse of the phone’s design, we won’t have to wait long for more details as the Pixel 10 launch event is set for August 20.

Google Pixel 10, 10 Pro specifications and features (Expected)

The Pixel 10 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and could offer a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Powering the device will likely be Google’s Tensor G5 processor. The phone may come with 12GB of RAM and offer storage options of 128GB and 256GB. Furthermore, the phone could pack a 4,970mAh battery with support for 29W wired fast charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging.

The device is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, an upgrade from the dual-camera system on its predecessor. However, with the anticipated addition of a telephoto lens as the third sensor, the ultra-wide camera will likely be downgraded from 48MP to 12MP. Meanwhile, the primary sensor is expected to remain the same as the one used in the Pixel 9.

Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 10 Pro is also expected to feature a 6.3-inch display with a 120hz refresh rate. The device will likely be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset. For photography, the Google Pixel 10 Pro could pack a 50MP primary camera with a 48MP ultrawide sensor and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. On the front, there could be 42MP selfie camera.
