Generated images can be easily shared with friends directly within WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger chats.
Meta has officially rolled out its AI-powered feature generator, ‘Imagine Me’, in India. Available within Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp chats, the feature allows users to generate creative, personalised images of themselves using simple text prompts within a chat. Users can create AI-generated visuals in their preferred theme, like a superhero or a ’90s rockstar, based on their own appearance.
SurveyThe social media giant first introduced this feature last year in July; however, it was initially limited to Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. However, the feature is now also available in India.
Notably, Imagine Me will capture the user’s facial data, and when prompted, it will add the same face to different themes using its personalisation models. For instance, if you ask Meta AI to “Imagine you as a superhero,” the AI will generate an image of you in a Superman costume.

Met AI’s Imagine Me feature: How to create an image
To access ‘Imagine Me’ on WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger, users will first need to complete a setup process that includes facial recognition. Users will have to upload a few setup photos to enable Meta AI to understand their facial features and physical attributes. Once done, they can ask Meta AI to create a custom image of them by using a text prompt.
For example, users can ask Meta AI to imagine them “on the moon” or “on a beach”, or in their favourite movie characters like Superman. Following the prompt, Meta AI will generate an image using the user’s face. Users can even share those images with friends and family right within the chat.
