Fitbit Air launch date in India tipped: Search giant Google announced its Fitbit Air fitness tracking band in select global markets on May 7. And now the company could be gearing up to announce the screenless wearable in India soon. We say this as tipster Sanju Choudhary claimed in a recent X (formerly called Twitter) post that the Fitbit Air could debut in India next month.
The wearable also appeared in a Flipkart listing, giving us possible hints about the India pricing of the product. Here is everything that you should know about the wearable.

Since the wearable has been announced in select markets, we already know its tech specifications. With the band, it weighs 12g. As for memory, it can save seven days of detailed motion data and daily totals for the last 30 days. It is claimed to offer up to seven days of battery life and can fully charge in 90 minutes. A 5-minute charge is expected to give all-day battery life.
Speaking of the tracking, it offers Bluetooth 5.0, an optical heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, SpO2 monitoring and a temperature sensor. The screenless tracker offers water resistance up to 50 meters. While the basic tracking features will likely remain free, Google is expected to introduce a paid plan for its full suite of features.
Among the anticipated features for India are Google Health Coach, high/low heart rate notifications, 40+ exercise modes, Cardio load, 24×7 heart rate tracking, Daily Readiness Score, sleep tracking, automatic activity recognition, all-day activity tracking and more. It may support pairing with iOS and Android platforms.
A Flipkart listing revealed hints that the device could start at Rs 13,999. It may debut in four band colour options: Obsidian, Lavender, Fog and Berry. The Active Band and Elevated Modern Bands may tag along.
As per the tipster, the Fitbit Air will debut in India on October 2. As for availability, it is expected to be available on Flipkart, Amazon and Google India’s official store.
