Large-screen TVs have been among the fastest-growing segments in the Indian TV market. Streaming platforms are pushing out 4K HDR content, and there is a growing interest in 4k gaming on the big screen too. All of this has pushed brands to compete not just on picture technology but on scale as well. Following this trend, Sony has also pushed its own True RGB portfolio to its biggest size yet.
Sony India has added a new 115-inch model to its BRAVIA 9II series, marking the largest Bravia television the company has ever launched in the country. With this addition, Sony’s True RGB lineup portfolio spans from 55-inch all the way to 115-inch, giving buyers the same core technology across the full range of screen sizes. The TV is built around Sony’s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro, aimed at delivering wider colour volume, deeper contrast and more accurate colour reproduction at scale. The Sony Bravia True RGB TV lineup features the company’s Backlight Master Drive Pro, which independently controls RGB LEDs. Sony says it delivers the largest colour volume in its home TV history along with a wide colour gamut and smooth gradation. Furthermore, it also comes with X-Wide Angle Pro for consistent colour and picture quality across wider viewing angles.
There’s also the inclusion of the Luminance Booster Pro, which helps for higher brightness without compromising the colour accuracy of the content. As for the audio setup, the lineup features the Acoustic Multi-Audio+ 12-speaker system on the 115-inch model, which comprises two subwoofers, eight full-range speakers and two tweeters for immersive sound and dialogue clarity.
Meanwhile, on the software side, it comes with Google TV with support for Gemini for Google TV arriving later for more natural AI-based interactions. With this launch, the Bravia 7II comes in with variants including a 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch. While the Bravia 9II comes in at 75-inch, 85-inch and the new massive 115-inch model.
