Yu has put up a video showing a phone being put through a lot of rough usage.
Micromax’s Yu brand is gearing up for its next smartphone launch, and it seems like it’ll be a rugged device. In a teaser video posted by the company, the upcoming phone is shown to be surviving through a lot of abuse. The video ends with the date 20 July 2015 (today), which is presumably the release date for the smartphone. The company has also started a #YuGuessWhat in order to market the device on social media.
Nothing is known about the hardware specifications of the device at the moment. In the video though, the phone looks very similar to the Lenovo A6000, although it is too early to speculate right now.
Yu Televentures also recently announced the first flash sale for its Yu Fit smartband. The Yu Fit will be sold from July 29, with registrations beginning on July 21. The company had announced the device alongside its Yu Yuphoria smartphone, which was launched a month or so ago. Yu has partnered with Indian startup HealthifyMe in order to add features to the Yu Fit smartband. The device is mixes features from the Xiaomi Mi Band and the Goqii smartband, but at a very affordable price point.
