Samsung Galaxy S10 triple camera details leaked
HIGHLIGHTS

A leakster has posted a photo on Twitter revealing the details, including the aperture and megapixels of the lenses on the upcoming Galaxy S10.

With the launch of the Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone, Samsung joined the triple-camera bandwagon in the developing race to offer more and more cameras on a smartphone. The South Korean giant is expected to incorporate a triple rear camera setup on its Galaxy S10 flagship which will most likely launch at MWC 2019. A leakster has now made public a photo describing the alleged camera details of the Galaxy S10. There is also a mention of “Beyond”, the codename that has been heavily linked with the handset.

According to the image leaked by Twitter user @bang_gogo_, the Galaxy S10 will have a regular lens, an ultra-wide angle sensor and a third Telephoto lens. The main camera seems to retain the regular 12MP sensor that the company has been incorporating in its previous flagship devices. The 12MP lens is expected to have 1.4µm-sized pixels and a dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4). The telephoto lens may have a 13MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 1.0µm pixels. Both these lenses will reportedly have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) like the previous generation of the flagships. The third ultra-wide camera is the new addition and is expected to have a 16MP sensor. As per the image, the lens will have a 123-degree field of view and will not have OIS like the other two lenses.

Previously a report noted that Samsung may come up with three variants of the smartphone, with the top-most model offering a total of five cameras. This “ultra premium” model of the smartphone is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back, while at the front, it may feature a dual-camera setup. The Galaxy S10 series is also tipped to sport a 6.44-inch display with an aspect ratio of 19:9.

There are also reports suggesting that Samsung could launch four models of the Galaxy S10, including a 5G-enabled variant. According to XDA Developers, “There are four devices codenamed ‘beyond 0’, ‘beyond 1’, ‘beyond 2’, and ‘beyond 2 5G’. Each model is referred to as ‘beyond’, which is the main codename for the Galaxy S10 while the numbers correspond to sizes – 0 being the smallest and 2 being the largest variant.
