Samsung Galaxy S11 may launch sometime in February next year, but the rumours have already started flooding in. The smartphone is tipped to sport a next-generation 108MP camera sensor. While many of us were assuming that Samsung will use the recently unveiled ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, there could be a second-generation 108MP sensor in development. The rumour may end up being true as a teardown of the Samsung Camera app has revealed a mention of 108MP resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The new code in Samsung Camera’ APK was found by XDA Developers, and it has also revealed that Samsung Galaxy S11 could come with the capability of shooting 8K videos. Samsung Exynos 990 chipset supports 8K@30fps video decoding/encoding capabilities. According to the report, the Camera APK also hints at new features such as Director's View, Night Hyperlapse, Single Take Photo, Vertical Panorama, and custom filters.

Director’s View is said to let users lock onto a subject in view, change who’s in the closeup, and also tap the thumbnails on the left to switch between camera lenses, and finally tap the one on the right to jump close-up on a subject. On the other hand, Single Take Phone mode could allow users to shoot the scene in a series of pictures and short videos, pan around slowly for about 15 seconds to capture multiple photos in the scene, process all the photos/videos captured, and finally show the collection.

Vertical Panorama is as the name suggests, while Night Hyperlapse mode can help users capture hyperlapse with night mode. For reference, the Samsung Galaxy S11 is rumoured to sport a quad rear camera setup with support for a 5x optical zoom module.

The Galaxy S11 is said to come equipped with a flat screen. Although, side bezels could be slimmer than the Note10 lineup.
