OnePlus 5 leaked image shows dual-rear camera setup
HIGHLIGHTS

Details about the dual-rear camera setup are not yet known, but the leaked renders also suggests that OnePlus might ditch the antenna lines

An image of OnePlus’ upcoming flagship smartphone, tipped to be called the OnePlus 5, have been leaked online. The image only shows the back of the phone hints that the phone might come with a dual-rear camera setup. Details about the rear camera setup are not yet known. It also seems like OnePlus will not move the fingerprint sensor to the back of the phone and will continue to house it inside the home button at the front.

The renders also suggest that the OnePlus 5 will continue to offer a similar build amd design as the OnePlus 3/OnePlus 3T. One difference being the antenna lines, which are missing in the render. However, the report notes that the image is not the final design, and the final product might look different.

Previous reports have hinted that the OnePlus 5 may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 platform with up to 8GB of RAM. It is quite likely that the phone will come with Android Nougat pre-installed. It is also possible that OnePlus may finally offer a QHD display with the OnePlus 5.

To recall, OnePlus has been tipped to not call its next smartphone the OnePlus 4, as the Chinese believe that the number 4 brings bad luck. OnePlus won’t be the first manufacturer to skip a number in its smartphone series though. Following the launch of the Galaxy Note 5, Samsung decided to skip the Galaxy Note 6, and directly launch the Galaxy Note 7. However, this jump definitely did not bring good luck for the ill-fated smartphone.
