The new leaks by Chinese tipsters claim that the company is testing some serious hardware upgrades for the OnePlus 15 successor. The leaked details point to big improvements in photography, display technology, and battery capacity. While the company has not confirmed the details, many sources state that we can expect advanced camera sensors, ultra-high refresh rate screens and bigger battery.

According to a post shared on Weibo by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, OnePlus is testing a new periscope-style telephoto camera with a 200MP sensor. The sensor will reportedly be bigger than the one present in the OnePlus 15. This means it may offer better zoom and low-light performance.
The leaks also claim that the company offers two 50MP sensors, a 200MP sensor and an additional multispectral sensor designed to offer better colour accuracy and image processing. As per the reports, OnePlus is also experimenting with flat panels capable of refresh rates exceeding 200Hz.
Last but not least, the company is also reportedly preparing a next-generation ‘Glacier Battery’ with a capacity approaching 9,000mAh. If true, it could be a massive upgrade over the OnePlus 15.
Speaking of the chipset, the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. It should be noted that these details are not confirmed at the moment.
OnePlus 16 launch timeline and price range
As per the early leaks, the OnePlus 16 could debut in December 2026 or January 2027. Interestingly, there can be a OnePlus 16 Pro as well in the lineup. Speaking of the prices, it could be between Rs 75,000 and Rs 80,000.
