After the Edge 70, Motorola will now be introducing the Edge 70 Pro Plus this week. The device will sit at the top of Edge 70 series and is already confirmed to offer big upgrades. The company has already confirmed a few details including the performance, display and massive battery pack. The company also confirmed the key design details and camera features through official teasers. The device will also offer a dedicated periscope telephoto camera, wireless charging support and a larger battery.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus launch date and India price

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus is confirmed to launch in India on June 4. While the company has not officially announced the pricing, leaks suggest the smartphone could start at Rs 47,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

The smartphone will reportedly be offered in three Pantone-inspired finishes including Pantone Chicory Coffee, Pantone Stormy Sea and Pantone Zinfandel. The device will be available through Flipkart and Motorola’s online store.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus specifications

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus is expected to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. The panel is said to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Under the hood, the smartphone may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage.

In terms of camera, the device may offer triple rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a new 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom and up to 50x AI-assisted digital zoom. On the front, Motorola may include a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. The device may offer features like Magic Editor and Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur and Portrait Blur, Portrait Light and Sky Replacement.

The handset is also expected to house a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 90W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Additional features could include IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, a slim 7.19mm profile and a weight of around 190 grams.
