Is the HTC One getting a phablet avatar codenamed T6?
HIGHLIGHTS

The HTC One is an undeniably gorgeous phone and HTC wants you to know that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

It’s quite interesting to see that once a company hits a successful formula for a phone, they pick it up and run with it. Samsung would be a great example, but it seems like HTC is also following that trend. After the HTC One received favourable response from the market, rumours seems to have sparked off that the company may be building a 5-inch or bigger version of the HTC One, codenamed T6.

The information is corroborated by @evleaks who confirmed that the next device from HTC is not only a tablet, but is codenamed T6. The goup has a long standing reputation of providing accurate insider information on upcoming devices, so we wouldn’t disregard their word that easily. Unfortunately, at this point, all we know is that HTC is working on a large format “phablet-like” device. The possibility that it will be just like HTC One in terms of design is incredibly high, given how the form factor is what the phone has going for it.

Currently, there are no specs available in any shape of form for the T6. We’d assume that HTC would like to maintain the “highest PPI” moniker and therefore kick up the resolution on the phablet to match the physical size, but that is just healthy speculation. We’d love it if HTC at least put in an Ultrapixel camera, possibly with a slightly higher megapixel count. But until HTC pulls the wraps on the device (or some notorious tester does) we can’t really be sure of what’s up in the Taiwanese company’s R&D labs.
