Apple has launched a new red colour variant of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus called the (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition. The new edition sports a red aluminum finish and is made in recognition of more than 10 years partnership between Apple and (RED). “Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod Nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Apple's CEO, Tim Cook. “The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”

The Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition will be available in 128GB and 256GB models, with prices starting at Rs. 82,000. The new variant will be available for order from March 24, and will start shipping to customers in India in April.

Besides this, Apple also announced that the iPhone SE will be available in 32GB and 128GB models, with prices starting at Rs. 27,200. These two models will replace the 16GB and 64GB models that were previously available. Further, Apple launched new colours of its silicon and leather cases for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, with prices starting at Rs. 2,900. The new colours for the silicon include azure, camellia and pebble, while the leather case will be available in taupe, sapphire and berry.
