Apple has been working on its next flagship iPhone 17 lineup. Although the smartphone is not expected until July, considering Apple’s timeline, rumours and leaks have started to circulate around the internet. Rumours about the iPhone 17 Pro are particularly going around. And, a report by Majin Bu suggests a new colour option could be on the table. Dubbed Sky Blue (or YuangFeng Blue), this colour is said to be under testing and might debut as one of the key design changes in 2025.

The shade is described as a soft, bright blue. For reference, it is similar to the variant already seen on the latest MacBook Air lineup. The move, if finalised, could offer better visual continuity across Apple’s ecosystem.
Previously, the iPhone Pro lineup has featured muted, sophisticated colours — such as Titan Gray, Space Black, or Deep Purple. With Sky Blue, Apple may be aiming to balance its technical advancements with a more refreshed and light design.
With the latest MacBook Air lineup, the Sky Blue colour was really well received for its clean, modern aesthetic. If adopted on the iPhone 17 Pro, it could signal Apple’s interest in expanding the colour palette of its Pro models, which have usually steered clear of lighter tones.
But for now, we will have to take all of this information with a pinch of salt as there’s no official confirmation from Apple yet. Insiders suggest that unless plans change, Sky Blue could be a highlight of the iPhone 17 Pro reveal expected in September 2025. Let’s see what Apple actually decides to go with, but what we can incur is that a new colour is definitely on its way.
