Google has introduced Gemini 3.8 AI models for agentic workflows and cybersecurity. The company has launched two versions: Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber. Google says the new models offer stronger performance while keeping the speed and lower cost of the previous Gemini 3.7. The standard Flash model is aimed at developers, businesses and consumers working with AI agents, software development and complex tasks. The Cyber version is designed for cybersecurity work, including finding software vulnerabilities.
Google describes Gemini 3.8 Flash as its “most intelligent workhorse model.” It is designed to handle software engineering, agentic workflows and tasks that require multiple steps of reasoning. The tech giant also claims Gemini 3.8 Flash can deliver performance close to more expensive frontier AI models.

The second model, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, is focused on cybersecurity. Google describes it as its “most capable cybersecurity model”. It is designed to find vulnerabilities and automatically create patches.
“On the standard industry benchmark for finding vulnerabilities, CyberGym, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber demonstrates frontier-level performance in autonomous vulnerability discovery. It surpasses both 3.5 Flash Cyber as well as significantly larger frontier models,” Google claimed.
Google Cloud Vulnerability Research team used the model to find a critical vulnerability in less than two hours. Such research can normally take months.
Developers can use Gemini 3.8 Flash through the Gemini API via Google AI Studio and Android Studio. Google also supports the model through Antigravity and Stitch for agentic workflows and UI generation.
Enterprise users can access Gemini 3.8 Flash through Gemini Enterprise. For consumers, the model is available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers through the Gemini app, AI Mode in Google Search and Gemini in Google Sheets.
Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber has limited access. Google is making it available to trusted government authorities, critical infrastructure operators and software maintainers through its new Fairwind Program.
