Google has announced quite a few updates to its Drive and Gmail services. Google Drive is now easier for user to find, organize, and view stuff on Drive. The update to Gmail, meanwhile, focuses on making it easier to find mails.
Google Drive: The Google Drive update brings support for Google Earth files. This means users can now open .KML and .KMZ files directly in Drive. These files can also be previewed and edited on the Drive.
Other updates include auto-complete people’s name, create new folders while organising files, drag and drop folders in chrome, and allowing files in the trash to appear in the search.

Gmail: Now users can look for e-mails by size, more flexible date options and exact match within Gmail. This means, for example, to find e-mails larger than 5MB, you can search for size:5m or larger:5m or to find emails sent over a year ago, older_than:1y.
Google says, “These changes go hand in hand with other recent enhancements to search such as the improved autocomplete predictions and a field trial for instant results from Gmail, Google Drive and more as you type.”
