Claude down: Thousands of users facing issues with Anthropic’s AI platform globally

On Downdetector, more than 2,000 users in the US have reported problems with the AI platform.

Claude down: Anthropic’s AI platform Claude is currently facing a massive outage globally, including in India. On Downdetector, an online outage monitoring platform, more than 2,000 users in the US have reported problems with the AI platform. Meanwhile, more than 2,200 users in India have reported problems with the AI service. Most users, around 63 per cent, say they are facing issues with Claude Chat, while 22 per cent report issues with the app. The remaining 11 per cent reported facing issues with the website.

According to Downdetector, the reports of the outage started appearing at around 12:15 PM in India and is increasing since then. As expected, frustrated users head to X (formerly Twitter) to share their experiences and look out for updates.

While one user posted on X, “Claude is down, no updates from @claudeai, and my tasks are just sitting there judging me. Guess it’s me, my deadlines, and a whole lot of ‘please reconnect’ vibes today,” another wrote, “Looks like #claude is down. Or maybe it just doesn’t want to chat with me.”

The company is yet to release an official statement regarding the outage. For now, users will just have to wait for the company to identify the issue and fix it.
