Samsung’s glass-free 3D monitor will support 120 games, company says
For a gamer, there’s no better feeling like actually being inside a virtual world. And that’s why VRs and 3D glasses are so exciting. However, they do come with their own set of challenges as the gear can be quite heavy or uncomfortable to wear. Perhaps the best answer to this problem is a glass-free 3D display. Now a couple of years back this might have come across as impossible but we are in 2026 and brands have already started making these displays a reality.
SurveyLenovo, for instance, already has a glass-free 3D screen laptop called the Legion 9i. And now Samsung has also announced that its glass-free 3D monitor, the Odyssey 3D, will soon support 120 games.

Samsung’s glass-free 3D monitor to support more games
At the GDC Festival of Gaming 2026, Samsung confirmed that more game studios are joining its ecosystem and enabling 3D gameplay on the Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming monitor. In a press release, the brand said that its glasses free 3D ecosystem is growing as more developers begin integrating the technology into their games. The company also confirmed that Hell Is Us will join the Odyssey 3D platform in March, making it one of the first titles to support the display technology this year. Apart from that, Cronos: The New Dawn is also expected to arrive later in 2026.
Both games will run in 3D through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, a dedicated platform that currently supports more than 60 titles. Samsung claims the library could grow to more than 120 games by the end of the year as more developers join the ecosystem.
How does it work?
According to Samsung, the Odyssey 3D monitor uses advanced eye tracking and view mapping technology to deliver depth without requiring glasses. The system adjusts the 3D effect in real time depending on the player’s viewing position, which helps maintain the illusion of depth even during fast gameplay. The display also offers a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time, ensuring that performance remains smooth during action heavy sequences.
Samsung is also working with major game studios to improve compatibility with its display technologies. The company confirmed a partnership with CD Projekt Red to integrate HDR10+ Gaming support into Cyberpunk 2077. HDR10+ Gaming dynamically analyses scenes to optimise brightness, contrast and colour for each frame.
Another collaboration involves Pearl Abyss. The studio’s upcoming open world title Crimson Desert will feature HDR10+ Gaming support when it launches in March.
