Great news for all GTA enthusiasts! The much-anticipated moment has arrived. Rockstar Games has finally released the first trailer of the long-awaited GTA VI. The next Grand Theft Auto title is scheduled to launch in 2025. For those who don’t know, Rockstar Games is behind the GTA series.

The GTA VI trailer centred around a single protagonist, a woman named Lucia.  Lucia, who is seen in the opening of the trailer wearing a prison jumpsuit, is apparently going to commit some crimes with her partner upon her release from jail.

In a press release, Rockstar Games mentioned that the game is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. So, it seems like we might be waiting a while for GTA VI to release for PC.

The press release also provided a very brief description of the GTA VI game. “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet,” Rockstar Games said.

The GTA VI trailer is a delight for fans worldwide, who have been eagerly waiting for it for a significant period. As of the time of this writing, the GTA VI trailer has already crossed 26 million views on YouTube in just 3 hours.

Initially, the trailer was scheduled to be released today at 9 AM ET (7:30 PM in India). However, before Rockstar Games, a now-suspended account posted the trailer on X (formerly Twitter), reports The Verge. So, despite the original plan for the trailer to debut on December 5 at 9 AM ET, Rockstar released the trailer on its official YouTube channel earlier than scheduled.
