Thamma OTT release: When and where to watch
According to OTT Nights, Thamma is expected to start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from December 16. While Prime Video hasn’t officially announced a date, reports suggest the movie may first be available as an early-access rental before becoming available to all Prime subscribers. The move aligns with Prime’s recent release pattern for high-grossing films.
Thamma OTT release: Storyline
Thamma marks the newest addition to Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe, blending desi folklore with sharp humour and supernatural flair. The film follows Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana), a journalist who falls for Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna), unaware that she belongs to a secret clan of Betaals, a vampire clan led by the fearsome Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). As Alok unravels her mystery, the two must join forces to overthrow the vampire king and protect humankind.

Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who previously directed Munjya, Thamma stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. Fans also get a surprise cameo from Varun Dhawan, reprising his Bhediya role and bridging connections to Stree 2. The film ends with a teaser for Shakti Shalini, the next MCHU instalment starring Saiyaara fame Aneet Padda.
