The much-awaited Jailer 2 has finally arrived in theaters. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is a direct sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Tamil action Jailer. According to reports, Jailer is expected to make its digital debut in mid-November 2026. Amazon Prime Video has reportedly secured the streaming rights of the film. Do note that neither the film makers nor the streaming platform have confirmed these details.
In Jailer 2, retired jailer “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian (Rajinikanth) returns to track down the higher-ups of the idol smuggling syndicate. Meanwhile, Dileep (Suraj Venjaramoodu), seeking revenge for his friend Varman’s death, hunts for Muthuvel and three missing cargo containers.
