We pit the new 43-inch Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV against other 43-inch smart TVs by major manufacturers to see the difference you get in terms of price as well as features.
While Xiaomi may be known in India for its range of smartphones, the company is a consumer electronics behemoth in China. It sells everything from drones to smart rice cookers. Of course, since its arrival on Indian shores, the company has branched out and started selling audio devices and even routers. However, all of us were eagerly awaiting the introduction of its Mi TVs. So after years of teasing, it finally introduced not one, but three TVs in India.
The Mi LED Smart TV 4 is the company’s flagship TV and offers some pretty interesting specifications for its asking price (you can read our review of the TV here). However, just a few days back, the company launched two more TVs that are priced even lower. The most affordable is the 32-inch Mi LED Smart TV 4A, which is priced at 13,999, while the 43-inch TV is predictably priced right in the middle at Rs 22,999.
The 43-inch Mi LED Smart TV is quite interesting for the price, it offers Full HD resolution along with smart features. The panel size is also quite versatile, as it can suite most small to medium sized rooms. So today, we thought it would be a good idea to look at some other smart TVs that offer a 43-inch panel and see the difference you get in terms of price as well as features. Keep in mind that this is just a specification comparison.

This first thing to note in the above table is that Xiaomi’s TV is the cheapest amongst the six at Rs 22,999. The Sony KLV-43W772E is the most expensive at Rs 57,900, more than twice the cost of the Mi LED Smart TV 4A. However, the Sony TV does offer a built in sub-woofer for enhanced audio, which can make the difference for the discerning viewer.
HDMI and USB ports are pretty important when it comes to TVs these days as you may want to connect a bunch of peripherals beyond the set-top-box. These could include a game console, media streaming devices or even external hard drives. In terms of HDMI ports, the Mi TV offers three ports, which matches up to what the best in this list have to offer. It’s the same story with USB ports as it offers 2 of those.
Almost all of the TVs in this spec comparison offer a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. However, TCL’s L43P2US stands out by offering a resolution of 3840 x 2160. It is also the second least expensive TV of the lot. But the price difference between it and the Mi TV is almost 10K.
Looking at the table above, it seems like the Mi LED Smart TV offers pretty impressive specifications for what it asks for. It’s a ploy Xiaomi’s smartphone marketing team is all too familiar with. However, there is a lot more to a TV than just the specifications, so wait for our full review to know exactly how good the Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV really is.
