Asus VivoBook series: Blending style with functionality

Asus VivoBook series: Blending style with functionality

It’s a common perception that good looking devices are expensive. However, that isn’t necessarily true. ASUS seems to understand this and offers stylish and practical laptops which are easy on the wallet in the form of the VivoBook S532 and the VivoBook X412.

ASUS VivoBook S532

The ASUS VivoBook S532 seems to be ideal for those who want something that is unlike anything else in the market, while still offering impressive specs. Powered by Windows 10 Home, it packs a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080p, making this a good option for those who love consuming a lot of video content. The device comes with up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U processor, the latest generation of processors launched by Intel. In terms of memory, the laptop is available with up to 8GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM. Graphics duties are handled by Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU. This hardware should be enough for most tasks and even a little bit of gaming if you fancy. The laptop is available with up to 512GB m.2 SSD, which is one of the fastest around. And who wouldn’t want that?

However, one of the most notable features of the VivoBook S532 is ScreenPad 2.0. What this does is turn the trackpad into a tiny secondary display with touchscreen. This nifty little feature allows users to run two apps or programs simultaneously. It also allows for quick access to a range of ASUS utility apps like Quick Key, Handwriting, Number Key and Office Xpert. It also improvises the interactions between the main display and ScreenPad.

ASUS VivoBook X412

The ASUS VivoBook X412 is the more affordable of the two VivoBook laptops mentioned here. However, while it may be quite reasonably priced, it still packs quite a punch when it comes to specifications. Powered by Windows 10 Home, the device features a 14-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080p. It is available with up to an Intel Core i3 7020U processor or up to an AMD Ryzen 5 processor. You also get up to 4GB RAM, which should be enough for most tasks. However, if need be, you can expand the RAM to 12GB in case you need some extra oomph. In terms of graphics, the laptop is available with up to an Nvidia GeForce MX130, which should allow for a little bit of gaming. Just what you need when you have a little downtime and want to relax a little. In terms of storage, users can get up to a 1TB HDD, which should be more than enough for most users. However, if speed is what you need, then you can pick one with up to a 256GB SSD for faster boot and load times.

As one can see, the ASUS VivoBook X412 and the VivoBook S532 is reasonably priced and offers something special to users. Starting at Rs 33,990, the VivoBook X412 makes a very good option for anyone looking for a well-priced compact device that is a treat for the eye. The VivoBook S532 starts at Rs 65,990 and makes for a good choice for anyone looking for a stylish laptop that can help them with productivity.
