Ubisoft & Sony at E3 2017: Uncharted, GoW, CoD, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 5 and more
HIGHLIGHTS

Here is a roundup of all the important games Ubisoft and Sony announced at their respective E3 press conferences.

The biggest gaming expo’s in the world, E3, is currently underway and there are a lot of new games being announced. Yesterday, we covered EA and Bethesda bringing out some brilliant new games and last night, Ubisoft and Sony had their press conferences adding more games to the mix. Let us start with Sony, which showcased more than a dozen games at its long press conference last night, resurrecting some old titles and adding some new.

Uncharted: Lost legacy

The biggest game on Sony’s Playstation console is coming back, and this time Nathan drake won't be there. We know it's sad, but going by what Sony had to showcase, the new game doesn't seem so far away compared to previous Uncharted titles. So yes, more stuff to explore and more bad guys to put down.

God of War

Sony showcased a trailer of this game at E3 last year and since then, the hype has been just growing. This year, we saw Kratos again, breaking some skulls, and some hack & slash gory kills we loved. The game is set to release in early 2018.

Destiny 2

The long awaited sequel to Bungie’s popular online multiplayer shooter game will be coming to consoles this September and if the company does not change its plans, to PC as well. At Sony’s E3 conference, Bungie showed us another trailer revealing the game’s primary antagonist, Dominus Ghoul.

Days Gone

Days Gone is Sony’s new open-world zombie survival game, which currently has no release date. The game looks dark and brutal, but we get to kill zombies, so we are not complaining.

Detroit: Become Human

Game designer David Cage, who is better known for his award winning 2010 title 'Heavy Rain' is coming back with a new Playstation exclusive. The game is set in the dystopian future where Androids are rioting against humans. While we are looking forward to playing this game, there is no release date yet.

Spider Man

The web-slinging superhero from Queens makes its return to the video game world and this time it is made by Insomniac games. The trailer reveals fast, acrobatic actions and some open world web-slinging, fighting. We will see more when the game releases in 2018.

Call of Duty: WW2

Treading on the same footsteps as Battlefield 1, the Call of Duty series also goes back in time to the second biggest war in modern human history. The game follows a young soldier from the US 1st Infantry Division, recreating iconic moments from the second great war.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds (DLC)

Horizon was one of the best games of last year and this year it is getting an expansion pack, it is called The Frozen Wilds. The game will put you back in the shoes of the protagonist Aloy, although we are aware of the new story line.

Ubisoft also had some big game announcements to make and this time the company is partnering with Nintendo big time to bring a new flavour to the switch. Here is all the important stuff Ubisoft announced.

Far Cry 5

It was already known that this time, Far Cry will be set in the Montana, US, where players will be taking on members of a religious cult. However at E3, Ubisoft revealed how it will be weaved into a co-op situation we saw in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. The game launches on February 27.

Mario + Rabbids

As the name suggests, this marriage is a rather difficult one, but from what we saw in the showcased gameplay, this particular Nintendo Switch title might actually be fun.

The Crew 2

The Crew 2 or as Ubisoft calls it TC2 is a true successor to the first game offering you the open-world to play, explore and race in. In addition to the cars, bikes and boats we saw in 2014, Ubisoft's has added planes as well, which you can fly in Manhattan among the skyscrapers.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

New gamers won't’ remember, but Beyond good and Evil is one of those titles which is generalised as a ‘classic’. The next game in the franchise comes after a long wait and from what we saw, it is a prequel to the original. The game looks fantastic, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
