Eric Schmidt spoils his weekend, writes a guide on switching from iPhone to Android
HIGHLIGHTS

“You will switch from iPhone to Android and never switch back as everything will be in the cloud, backed up, and there are so many choices for you.” But, does every iPhone user in the world use only a Mac?

There are literally millions of guides and helpful articles allowing users to switch from an iPhone to an Android smartphone. However, just in case you haven’t come across any of them, Google’s Eric Schmidt will help you. In a lengthy guide he wrote, possibly spoiling his weekend, the executive chairman first talks about the positives of Android as a platform, and then proceeds to a step by step checklist of how you can switch from an iPhone to any Android smartphone.

On his Google page, Schmidt’s basic point is rather simple, “you will switch from iPhone to Android and never switch back as everything will be in the cloud, backed up, and there are so many choices for you.” Why would that be the only reason to switch to Android? No, apparently, because there is more. He says that most Android phones “have better screens, are faster, and have a much more intuitive interface.  They are a great Christmas present to an iPhone user!” We are not entirely sure if Apple would be pleased with this self-help guru.

The guide itself is divided into various sections – Set up the Android phone, Update your iPhone or iPad, On your Mac, connect your music to Google and then proceeds to even tell you how to take the SIM card out of the iPhone and move it to an Android device.

Incidentally, if you have the patience or the sense of duty to go through the entire guide, you will notice that Mr. Schmidt believes that ALL iPhone users also use Macs. Not sure if that is entirely true, but for the lesser mortals out there using Windows, you seem to have been ignored by the anti-Apple establishment. Quite a paradox, we would believe. Anyway, happily for all Windows iPhone users, most of the steps in the guide should pretty much works for you.
