Motorola is gearing up to revamp its mid-range lineup in India with the launch of the all-new Motorola Edge 70, the successor to the well-received Motorola Edge 60. The Edge 70 is expected to create a strong buzz in the market when it debuts on December 15 across multiple platforms, including the official Motorola e-store and Flipkart. The company recently took to X to confirm that the device will feature an ultra-slim 5.99mm profile. Other than that, the device will also boast a 50MP triple camera, including the primary, ultrawide and third cameras. Here’s everything we know so far about Motorola’s upcoming smartphone.
The Motorola Edge 70 is expected to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with sharp 1.5K resolution and very bright 4,500-nit peak brightness. It may come with Gorilla Glass 7i for better protection. The phone might use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and could include up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
It may also come with a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone will run Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI and may get 3 years of major updates and 4 years of security updates.
On the camera front, the device will have a triple 50MP setup on the back (main, ultrawide, and a third camera) and a 50MP selfie camera on the front. The phone is also said to have strong durability with a MIL-STD-810H rating, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, and tough aircraft-grade aluminium frames. As per the leaks, the device may launch in three colours, including Pantone Bronze Green, Pantone Gadget Grey and Pantone Lily Pad.
According to industry reports, Motorola Edge 70 is expected to arrive at Rs 35,000, which is a significantly higher price than its predecessor, Motorola Edge 60, which was launched at a price of Rs 25,999.
