The update also introduces a new Origin Smooth Engine for enhanced performance, a unified design system, and upgraded motion animations.

OriginOS 6 eligible devices and rollout timeline

OriginOS 6 top features

OriginOS 6 replaces Vivo’s FuntouchOS foundation with an entirely new Origin Animation System, delivering smoother transitions and natural motion through effects like Spring Animation, Blur Transition, and Morphing Animation.

Under the hood, the Snap-Up Engine intelligently allocates computing power to high-demand tasks, resulting in up to 16% faster app launches and 41% improved touch responsiveness.

Visually, the Origin Design System brings harmony across icons, colours, and layouts, complemented by the new Vivo Sans font that supports over 40 languages.

The new lock screen grid (4×7 layout), adaptive folders, and Flip Cards allow users to dynamically tailor their interface. Inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, Origin Island offers live status updates in a pill-shaped bubble at the top of the display.
