Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi 15 5G in the Indian market. The device comes with a series of upgrades over its predecessor. The device features a massive 7,000 mAh battery and wireless charging. It also includes a slew of AI features, a 144Hz refresh rate, and more to offer. The device is available in three colourways, including the Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black colours. The Redmi 15 features a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It has a peak brightness of 850 nits. The display is certified by TÜV Rheinland for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor with a clock speed of 2.3GHz on its two Cortex A78 cores and 1.95GHz on its six Cortex A55 cores. For RAM and storage, the phone has up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, with options of 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The phone runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, and is promised 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. Its battery is a 7000mAh cell with 33W charging support. A 33W adapter is included in the box, and the phone supports 18W reverse charging.

For photography, the Redmi 15 is equipped with a 50MP AI Dual Rear Camera with an f/1.75 large aperture. The front camera is an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. Other camera features include AI Sky, AI Erase, AI Beauty, and Classic Film Filters. The phone’s audio features include a Button Firing Loud Speaker with Dolby Certification and 200% Super Volume.

The Redmi 15 5G is available in two variants- 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, which is priced at Rs 14,999 while the 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant is priced at Rs 16,999. The mid-variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 15,999.
The device will be available for sale starting August 28, 12 PM IST. The customers can buy the device from Amazon, Redmi e-store and select retail channel partners.
