Xiaomi could present another phone later this month in China. We are talking about the Xiaomi 14 series. As the launch is coming closer, we have news about its camera lens and other details. Xiaomi has confirmed this itself by dropping teasers. Let’s find out what the upcoming Xiaomi drop has in store for us.

We can expect at least two smartphones in the Xiaomi 14 lineup- Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. Later on, we could even get the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Firstly, the Xiaomi 14 series will pack the HyperOS, making it the first to use the company’s own OS against Xiaomi’s usual choice of MIUI. For the cameras, Xiaomi will use a Leica Summilux lens on the camera. These lenses are popular for their amazing image quality.

Xiaomi has upgraded from the Leica Summicron lens that was spotted on Xiaomi’s previous flagship smartphones- Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 13. It was even used on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra concept phone. But the camera lenses on the Xiaomi 14 are much better compared to the ones on its predecessors.

According to Xiaomi, the upgrade to the Leica Summilux lens on the Xiaomi 14 series will allow users to experience the best image quality to date. On top of that, the Xiaomi 14 series will also include a new image sensor. Other leaks confirm that we will get a triple camera setup on the smartphones.

Apart from this, we hear that the Xiaomi 14 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. We can expect 3 storage variants- 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB.

Even though an official release date hasn’t been announced yet, leaks suggest that the smartphone lineup will drop in China on October 27th.
