Vivo has recently launched the Y31t in the Indian market, and the smartphone is a direct competition to the previously launched Realme 16x. While both the handsets have some similar features like the main camera, RAM and storage options, they also come with some different, noticeable differences like the chipset. Both the devices are built to please different audiences. The Vivo Y31t comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The company claims that the display can reach a peak brightness of 1,250 nits when used outdoors. The phone also has IP68 and IP69 certifications to protect against dust and moisture.
Whereas the Realme 16x smartphone has a 6.8-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The company says that the screen has a maximum brightness level of 1200 nits when used in the sunlight. To prevent any scratches on the screen, the phone is equipped with Panda-1681 glass. It also holds IP65 certification for protection against dust and water.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y31t runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor that is manufactured using a 4 nm process node. It comes equipped with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory with an option to expand the memory using a microSD card. Out of the box, the smartphone runs OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16.
Meanwhile, the Realme 16x comes equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 octa-core chipset, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage, which can also be expanded via a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs Realme UI 7, a skin based on Android 16.
Vivo has packed the Y31t with a 7,200 mAh battery to ensure it can last an entire day under a normal use case. Not only that, but it’s also paired with 44W wired charging. On the other hand, the Realme 16x comes with a slightly smaller 7000mAh battery and gets supported by 45W wired charging.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y31t features a dual-camera setup at the back, including a 50MP main camera with a 2MP secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, it comes with an 8 MP lens at the front.
However, the Realme 16x sports a 50MP main camera supported by a secondary camera at the rear end. At the front the device comes with an 8MP sensor.

The Vivo Y31t was launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 25,999, while the Realme 16x was also priced at Rs 25,999.
