Vivo V80 Launch Date In India: Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is all set to launch the successor to the Vivo V70 in India soon. According to an official X (previously Twitter) post, the company will unveil the Vivo V80 in the country on October 6 at 12:00 PM. A microsite featuring the smartphone is already live on e-commerce platforms Amazon and Flipkart. The handset will ship with the new OriginOS 7 software.
Similar to V series models, the Vivo V80 will ship with Zeiss co-engineered optics. According to Vivo’s official site, it will get a “Cold-Carved Glass” design. From expected price to specifications, here are the details that you should know about the smartphone if you are planning to buy one.

Vivo V80 will debut with a 6.59-inch 1.5K 144Hz OLED screen with 5,000nits peak brightness. Based on the advertised images, the phone is anticipated to get a metallic frame. It may debut with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset for day-to-day multitasking. Powered by OriginOS 7, the phone will likely ship with the latest Android 17.
The handset is confirmed to launch with a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W charging, which can charge the battery to 50 per cent in 30 minutes, Vivo claims. As for the optics, a 50MP OIS main, a 50MP 3x telephoto and an ultrawide lens will be available on the back, along with a 50MP selfie camera. The rear camera will support up to 4K 60 fps video recording and AI features in the camera app.
While Vivo remains tight-lipped on pricing, the smartphone could carry a starting price of around Rs 60,000 in India. As for the colour options, the V80 will launch in Horizon Blue, Sunrise Anthem and Stellar Black.

Meanwhile, Vivo recently unveiled the Vivo X500 series in China and announced OriginOS 7 software for its Vivo phones. The flagship lineup included three models, out of which two -Vivo X500 and X500 Pro Max – are expected to launch in India. This will succeed the Vivo X300 lineup of devices in India.
