Vivo is currently preparing to bring back its S-series after nearly six years. The brand has confirmed to launch the Vivo S2 smartphone on August 6, 2026. Vivo has already revealed the design and key specifications of the upcoming phone. Word has it that Vivo S2 will launch with a price similar to the Nothing Phone 4b. So, how do the two smartphones compare on paper? Here is a quick comparison of the Vivo S2 and Nothing Phone 4b, based on official specifications.
Vivo S2 is confirmed to sport a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. On the other hand, the Nothing Phone 4b comes with a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness.
The Vivo S2 will be backed by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor, and will run on OriginOS 6 out of the box. Furthermore, the phone is set to pack a 7050mAh battery. In contrast, the Nothing Phone 4b is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, and runs on Nothing OS 4.1. Furthermore, it is backed by a 6,000 mAh battery.
For photography, the Vivo S2 is confirmed to house a 50MP main camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone will have a 32MP camera on the front. For comparison, the Nothing Phone 4b comes with a 50MP main camera and has a 16MP front-facing camera.
As per leaks, the Vivo S2 is expected to be priced at around Rs 40,000. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 4b was launched with a starting price of Rs 34,999. Do note that the mentioned price of the Vivo S2 is based on leaks and speculation, so it is advised to take it with a pinch of salt.
